Garages

Garage a.JPG

This is a row of 17 garages behind the bungalows on the west side of 63-67 Rylett Crescent W12 9RP, opposite our flat at 48a.  A well-to-do guy, I forget his name, bought them, and did them up with new roofs and doors.  I paid, I think, £40k  for the south end four 14-17, and they are worth over £300k now, but they are owned by Connect Software Ltd (don't ask) which will go to Oscar and Julie.  Iain bought 2 halfway up, and sold them a few years ago.

The big thing about them is that they are not on the public road, so no-one would know that they are there.

I fell out big-time with the developer.  I don't remember why or how, but I ended up owning the access land in front of mine, whereas the rest of the access way is in common ownership.  The papers are in a file in the study on No 36.

I never got round to re-doing the floor and walls, though in retrospect I should have done.  A big wall-creeper used to grow in from the south-western corner, but seems to have stopped recently.

Amber and Iain spent some time with me chucking out some of my beloved accumulated bits & pieces.

Bill McLoughlin is the lovely and friendly guy in the bungalow at the entrance, 65 Rylett Crescent  W12 9RH 020 8743 8628
